HON. GERMAN S. ACOSTA is a seasoned public servant from Barangay Poblacion, Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro. He started his political career as Punong Barangay in years 1997 to 2002, to which he also became the President of the Liga ng mga Barangay. From then he embarked excellence not only to his barangay but to all barangays of the municipality as he had been an ex officio member of the Sangguniang Bayan. For more than a decade he lived a simple life and dedicated his absolute time to his family. He made a political comeback as he was elected as Sangguniang Bayan Member in May of 2013. He successfully finished his 3 terms as Sangguniang Bayan Member by being the voice and representation of every Bulalacaonon. Because of his outstanding performance as legislator, in 2022, right after he completed his last term as Sangguniang Bayan Member, he was appointed as the Head of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office which amplified his will and determination to provide efficient public service to every Bulalacaonon. The trust and respect of the people mirrored to the brimming support and votes which put him into becoming a Municipal Vice Mayor in May of 2025. His expertise in legislation flourished into a promising leadership in the Legislative Department of the Local Government Unit of Bulalacao which would be characterized to fair, transparent and effective management that paralleled to quality legislative measures for the betterment of the municipality as a whole.
